About the collection:
Raffaele Ascione's A/W 2013 Collection is all about his Italian roots and his obsession with beautiful couture that has been mashed up with Sportswear. This collection started off with looking at Menswear, Sportswear and beautiful Couture embellishments. He looked at underwater corals for textile ideas and the drive to create new fabrics. It was very clear from the start that the collection will be dark and express a strong romantic message as that is something Ascione has in his Italian blood. He combined beautiful couture Dresses with relaxed tailored Menswear Coats. It was all about creating beautiful separates that were cut in a beautiful manner and topped off with hand made fabrics. The collection carries three fabrics that were created in house, such as the hand-cut Lace, which was then bonded onto a wool Tweed.

He combined his Italian romantic touch with flashes of neon sportswear flair to create an exciting and timeless product.
Ascione Says: "This Collection is all about heavy Contrasts and beautiful fit and form, I really focused on creating items that would want to be worn. And I absolutely loved going back to my darker side. And we really pushed our new Lace work, this was only possible through another beautiful collaboration with Lace House Sophie Hallette in France. I hope women will be able to pick one or two items in this collection and fall in LOVE!"
